Sewing School – Ongoing Weekly Classes
Ages 8–18 | 6-Week Sessions | 75-Minute Weekly Classes

A comprehensive sewing school designed for today’s busy kids, our program offers a flexible, self-paced approach that allows students to learn at the speed that’s right for them—whether they’re racing ahead or taking their time to master each skill.

Our sewing classes are designed for kids and teens ages 8–18 who have completed a Beginner’s Workshop and are ready to continue growing their skills. Students attend once a week for 75 minutes over a six-week session, working at their own pace through the skill-building curriculum from Sewciety Kids.

Each session, students typically complete two projects—one clothing item and one additional project, such as a bag, quilting project, or home décor item. The curriculum is continuous (not seasonal), allowing students to steadily progress from basic skills like straight-line sewing on cotton to more advanced techniques like working with knits, sewing zippers, and creating quilted items. This also allows students to take breaks during the year to accommodate other activities.

We keep our class sizes small—usually 6 to 10 students—with a goal of maintaining a 1:4 teacher-student ratio to support individual attention and growth. Creativity and confidence are our priorities, and students are encouraged to take ownership of their work while learning practical, lifelong skills.

Materials & Tools:
All fabric and project supplies are provided. Students are expected to bring a basic sewing toolkit, available for purchase through the Sewing School. Sewing machines are provided for student use, though students may bring their own machine if it is in good working order. Those who bring a personal machine must commit to bringing it consistently and should supply extra compatible bobbins.

Missed Classes:
If a student needs to miss a class, they may attend another session that week if space allows.
